ESMS Agriculture students recently completed a fun and hands-on Pumpkin Lab! 🍂
On Day 1, students rotated through seven stations to explore and record observations. They described the pumpkins’ characteristics, labeled the parts, measured height and circumference, counted ribs, weighed their pumpkins, estimated the number of seeds, and even tested whether their pumpkins would sink or float! At each station, students made predictions before discovering the real results. 🧠✨
On Day 2, which happened to be Halloween, things got a little messy (and a lot of fun!) as students cut open their pumpkins, cleaned them out, sorted, and counted all those seeds. Next, the seeds will be dried for several weeks and later packaged into custom seed packets students will design in class. 🌱

• 8th Grade: Defeated Lowndes at home, 31–21
• 7th Grade: Did not play
Boys Basketball
• 7th Grade: Picked up a strong road win at Lowndes, 35–19
• 8th Grade: Fell short in a competitive matchup, 31–21

Students explored hands-on activities and live demos across a variety of healthcare fields — including EMS, Radiologic Technology, Phlebotomy, Medical Assisting, and more.
