Big thanks to Tift County High School for hosting an incredible career fair for our 8th-grade students from Eighth Street Middle School! Our students had the opportunity to explore a variety of careers in business, cosmetology, fire and rescue, the medical field, and banking. A special thank you to the following businesses for their participation: Georgia Power, Tift County Chamber of Commerce, Tift County Fire Department, 911, EMS, Southwell, City of Tifton, Synovus Bank, and ABAC Admissions. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Ellianos Coffee, Chicken Salad Chick, and Coca-Cola for generously donating breakfast, lunch, and drinks. Our students had a fantastic time exploring career opportunities and learning about their future possibilities!

The A-Team finished the season with a 7-6 win @ Coffee Middle yesterday. They finish the regular season with an 8-6 record, winning their last 4 games. John Michael Cavenaugh pitched 5 innings allowing 4 runs (3 ER) with Evan Roberts coming in relief and getting the win. Roberts pitched 2 innings. The offense was lead by Hudson Fowler who went 2-4 with an RBI while scoring 2 runs, Charles Sheppard went 2-4 adding 2 RBI. The A-Team will travel to Thomasville on Tuesday as the 3 seed to take on the 2 seed TCC. Game time will be at 4:30. #4theT

Congratulations to the ESMS FFA Forestry team for competing at the Langdale Forestry Field Day in Quitman, Georgia. Students who participate Field Days participate in 10 unique and specific events that engage them in the forestry industry; including Reforestation, Timber Stand Improvement, Timber Cruising for both Cord and Foot Volume, Tree Identification, Ocular Estimation, Land Measurement, Hand Compass, Forest Management, & Disorders.

ESMS Ag students recently harvested, cleaned and prepped collard and mustard greens from the raised bed gardens in the agriculture outdoor classroom area. Students will soon harvest cabbage and prep the beds for spring garden plants

⚾️ Middle School Baseball Update ⚾️ Tuesday: 🔥 A-Team defeated Pine Grove Middle 7-2 to clinch the #3 seed in the playoffs! ⭐️ Jimmy Taylor pitched 5 shutout innings, allowing just 1 hit. ⭐️ Beau Southers led the offense, going 2-3 with 3 RBI. ⭐️ JM Cavenaugh and Jaxson White each added 2 RBI. ➡️ A-Team will finish the regular season today at Coffee before heading to either TCC or Hahira next Tuesday for the 1st round of playoffs. Wednesday: 💥 B-Team wrapped up the season with a 17-7 win over Coffee, finishing with an impressive 11-2 record! 💥 C-Team closed out their season with a 12-0 shutout over Coffee, finishing with a 6-5 record!
