Elevating Students to Master Standards!
Today, the faculty and staff of Eighth Street Middle School celebrated the dedication and teamwork it takes to support student growth.
We are proud to share that our GMAS scores in the Proficient and Distinguished categories increased by 17% last year. From 7th Grade Math to Algebra I and 8th Grade Science, every area played a part in helping students reach higher levels of success.

Parents and Guardians,
Please help us ensure a safe and smooth start to each school day by following our morning car rider drop-off procedures.
✅ Drop-off begins at 7:45 AM and ends promptly at 8:20 AM
✅ Use the designated car rider area behind ESMS on 6th Street
✅ Students arriving after 8:20 AM must be dropped off at the front and checked in through the main office
Thank you for helping us start each day smoothly! We appreciate your support and look forward to a great year at ESMS!

To help ensure the safety of all students, car riders must be picked up through the designated car rider line at all schools. For safety reasons, students will not be allowed to walk to vehicles parked along the side of the road.
This safety measure is in place to reduce the risk of accidents and to keep students from navigating through traffic or other potentially dangerous situations.
We appreciate your support and cooperation in following these procedures. Let’s work together to keep our students safe!

Make sure you’ve downloaded our Tift Schools App to stay up-to-date with the latest district and school news, access Rooms for classroom updates, and easily message your student’s teachers.
Need to send a message to your student during the school day? You can do that too — all in one convenient place!
📲 Download today and stay in the loop all year long!

Thank you to all of the ESMS students and their parents for attending the Eighth Street Middle School Meet the Teacher Night.
It was so nice to see the faces of our ESMS students that we have missed over the summer, and we were so excited to see our new sixth graders who will now call ESMS their home for the next three years. The excitement of the students and the support that we felt from the parents was amazing.
Here’s to a wonderful school year!
