The Agribusiness Management and Leadership class learned how to identify issues in agriculture, research the history, pros, and cons, and developed a skit presentation to represent agribusiness members who the issue would have an impact on. Groups also created a podcast and a customer interaction skit on issues around agritourism, the livestock industry, urbanization, and wildlife. Students also took a field trip to ABAC to meet with faculty members in the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Students learned about majors in forest and wildlife while visiting the school natural study area. We then learned how to teach and communicate through a simulation of tractor driving with the agricultural education and communication faculty members. Students visited the beef teaching unit and learned about cattle identification through freeze branding. Finally, we visited with faculty members in crop and soil science where students practiced identification and were able to make a soil profile to test soil saturation. Thank you to all of the faculty we visited with who gave our students a hands-on view of the majors offered. #4theT #LetsGrowTogether

🎉 Our Embedded Computing students are diving into their capstone projects, showcasing incredible creativity and problem-solving! Each student takes their project from idea to concept to creation entirely on their own. Meet Jerry 👀✨—a brilliant creation by one of our students! Jerry has a paper cup body, a cardboard head, and motion-sensing "eyes" that activate his glowing LED "nose" when motion is detected. All of this is powered by custom code written by the student, with the components cleverly hidden inside the paper cup. Projects like Jerry highlight the amazing skills our students are developing in programming, electronics, and design. We can't wait to see what they create next! 🚀 #STEM #EmbeddedComputing #FutureInnovators #4theT #LetsGrowTogether

Student Council is collecting items for our annual Toys for Tots drive. We would love your help. If you would like to donate, please bring a new, unwrapped toy and drop it off in one of the bins located on campus: the media center, the commons, or the front office. The deadline is next Friday, December 12. These gifts are distributed to families in need in our community. Every gift, big and small, is sure to light up the face of a kid this Christmas. Thank you in advance!

📽️ Exciting News from Tift County High School! 🎉 Today, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Georgia Public Broadcasting and the Georgia Department of Education for their Computer Science in Action series! Our classroom was selected as one of two high schools in Georgia to be featured, showcasing the amazing work happening in computer science education. The filming highlighted an engaging lesson in our Introduction to Software Technology course and included tips and strategies for teachers across the state to implement similar activities in their classrooms. The final video is expected to be ready in April, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone! A huge thank you to our students for their enthusiasm, our administrators for their support, and the GPB and GADOE teams for this fantastic opportunity. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the release date! 🖥️✨ #GPB #GeorgiaDOE #ComputerScienceInAction #TiftCountyPride #STEMEducation #FutureReady #4theT #CTAEdelivers #LetsGrowTogether
