We are pleased to inform you that students will return to school on Thursday, October 3rd, following the recent inclement weather days. Thank you to our parents and community for your patience and support during this time. We look forward to having our students back in our schools to resume instruction and continue working toward increased achievement for the school year. Our transportation team is working to develop new bus stops for our students who live off of dirt roads that have been washed out and are not passable. Congratulations to our Middle School Softball team for being crowned the 2024 Region Champions! With an incredible overall record of 17-1, our girls secured the top spot heading into the region tournament. While the tournament was canceled due to school closures, their hard work and dedication still shine through as they are officially declared champions! 🏆⚾️ #4theT

While schools remain closed for students today, we will once again offer an opportunity for meal bag pickup. Parents may bring students to any of our schools (except for Annie Belle Clark and Tift County High School) beginning at 9am, to pick up a meal bag that includes breakfast and lunch. Quantities will be limited, and they will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. #4theT

All Tift County Schools will remain closed for students on Wednesday, October 2nd. In order to help determine readiness for our students to return, all staff members are asked to report. We will provide families with an update by early afternoon tomorrow regarding Thursday, October 3rd. #4theT

We are now loading buses and heading around town with meals. Be on the lookout for a Tift County school bus. Locations include Walmart, Food Lion, multiple apartment complexes and trailer parks. #4theT

Varsity Softball: ( No Change) @ Colquitt on Tuesday, October 1st DH vs Colquitt (home) on Thursday, October 3rd. Volleyball: Tomorrow’s home game has been canceled. The Region Tournament will be Saturday at Colquitt (10am) Cross Country: (No Change) Tift Invitational from last Saturday will not be rescheduled. Middle School Football: 6th & 7th vs Thomas County - moved to Thursday, October 3rd at TCHS Mini Stadium 8th will play at Thomas County on Thursday Middle School Softball: The region tournament will not be rescheduled. Good afternoon! This is a reminder of our student meal pickup tomorrow. Please understand that due to federal school nutrition regulations, students must be present in order to pick up a meal. Each bag will include a hot lunch and a shelf stable breakfast. Distribution sites will open at 9:00am and meals will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. Meals can be picked up at the following locations : 📍 Annie Belle Clark Elementary, Charles Spencer Elementary, G O Bailey Elementary, J T Reddick Elementary, Matt Wilson Elementary, Omega Elementary, Brookfield Baptist Church and TyTy Baptist Bags will include a hot lunch and breakfast, and they will be available on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. After communicating with Georgia Power and Colquitt EMC regarding the status of the restoration of power and with EMS regarding the condition of roads, we feel it is in the best interest of our students and staff for all Tift County Schools to remain closed on Monday and Tuesday.
