🌟NEMS ACADEMIC HONORS & AWARDS CEREMONY - IMPORTANT DETAILS 🌟 We're excited to celebrate our outstanding 6th and 7th grade scholars at the upcoming Academic Honors & Awards Ceremonies on Thursday, May 8, 2025! 6th Grade Ceremony: 9:00 AM 7th Grade Ceremony: 10:00 AM Location: Northeast Middle School Commons Students who will be recognized at these special ceremonies have received individual invitations. If your child brought home an invitation, congratulations on their academic achievements! Important Notes for Attendees: Students may be signed out prior to the program using the QR code provided in their invitation. Staff will assist with student sign-out and provide each family with a yard/door sign for their honor student. Business attire is required for all students attending (see dress code details in the attached image). Due to seating constraints, please limit guests to 2 attendees per student. Can't attend in person? Both ceremonies will be live-streamed on our social media platforms so extended family can share in this special moment. 💉 HAPPY SCHOOL NURSES DAY TO OUR VERY OWN SUPERHERO! 💉 Today, we couldn't let School Nurses Appreciation Day pass without celebrating the incredible Mrs. Quintessa Morgan - Northeast Middle School's guardian of health and wellness! Nurse Morgan is truly the ultimate caregiver superhero, armed with bandages, compassion, and seemingly endless patience. From tummy aches to scraped knees, temperature checks to medication management, she handles it all with grace and expertise. Her dedication to keeping our students healthy and ready to learn makes her a true behind-the-scenes hero every single day. She's become an essential and cherished part of our Northeast Blue Devil family. 🦸‍♀️ TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK: DAY 2 HIGHLIGHTS! 🦸‍♂️ Our "NEMS TEACHERS: THE REAL SUPERHEROES" celebration continued today with NEMS SQUAD DAY: TRAINING DAY with our faculty and staff decked out in their athletic gear. Our incredible faculty showed up ready to strengthen their superhero skills and inspire young minds! The day was packed with special surprises: 🧊 KONA ICE arrived to provide our superheroes with refreshing frozen treats - every champion needs to cool down after a day of classroom adventures! .🍰 A huge THANK YOU to Southwell for delivering such a delicious cake this morning, keeping our faculty and staff energized throughout their heroic day! Congratulations to our "Superhero in My Pocket" game winners: Mrs. Dawne Jensen and Mrs. Teresa Nichols! Your superhero powers were truly on display today! 🌮 Learning Beyond the Classroom on Cinco de Mayo! 🌮 Today, our amazing Special Hearts class experienced a wonderful community-based learning adventure at El Jarocho Mexican Restaurant! These incredible students got hands-on experience in real-world skills as they learned how to operate the cash register and master the art of folding silverware into napkins. The concentration and pride on their faces as they practiced these new skills was absolutely priceless! The day became even more special when everyone sat down to enjoy a delicious authentic Mexican lunch together - definitely the highlight of this educational outing! A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at El Jarocho for welcoming our students, creating this meaningful learning opportunity, and celebrating Cinco de Mayo with our Northeast family. These experiences help build important life skills and create lasting memories for our students. Our amazing educators revealed their origin stories by sporting their college and university gear. From ABAC, Valdosta State to UGA, our teachers proudly displayed where their superpowers were first developed! To fuel their classroom heroics, Fred's Food Truck provided our teachers with delicious "Fuel for Fury" - because even superheroes need proper nourishment to save the educational day!
