The National Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation, reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week, October 23-31 each year. This year, ESMS decided to add an essay contest to the fun filled week of activities. Students were asked to submit an original work based on this year's theme: "If I Could Go Back and Warn Them: Your Future is Key, so Stay Drug Free. The Guidance and Counseling Department at ESMS would like to congratulate Anyston Lyon as this year's winner. Her essay was a beautifully written story of a young girl who recognizes the importance of taking a stand in the war on drugs.
Thank you to all the ESMS students who participated in this contest. We appreciate your time and effort.
