Eighth Street FBLA Students Compete at Region

Eighth Street Middle Students traveled to Moultrie Friday for the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Region Leadership Conference to learn how they stack up against other students from Southwest Georgia.

FBLA members performed well, with many bringing home awards for their efforts. Forty-five students tested in sixteen different events, from Business Computations to Business Communication. The top five students in each event earned medals for their efforts. Students placed as follows:

Erial Jolly, Chrishawn Chappelle, Opal Potter, and Davin Thompson all qualified for state-level competition by virtue of their performances. Other students may choose to go on and retest to compete at the State Leadership Conference, which will be held February 28 in Perry.
